About Me
Let’s be honest. YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT ME. And you shouldn’t, so I’ll keep it short.
I love making websites, writing, and being outdoors. Over the years, I’ve been involved in several online projects. For instance, my previous website cleverjourney.com in the travel niche or my newer project hikemuch.com
I’m not a native English speaker – originally, I’m from Latvia. However, half of my family is Canadian and I’ve spent some of my childhood in the UK, so I consider myself bilingual. You can check out some of my YouTube videos, to make sure that I’m basically a native speaker.
What Types of Blog Posts Can I Write?
Generally, I write about Travel & Vacations and Hiking & Outdoors. I also have a lot of experience in writing about product-related topics (affiliate marketing). Whether you need a review for a new backpack, a guide on cleaning your luggage, or a shopping guide that compares the best packing cubes in 2021, I got you covered.
I’ll stick to whatever formatting and style you need. Just give me the details, and I’ll get to work.
I specialize in writing these types of articles:
- How-to guides
- Answers to specific questions (1000-2000 word articles targeting long-tail keywords)
- List posts (For example, “10 Destinations to Visit in Your 20’s”)
- Product comparisons (For example, “10 Best Affordable Internal Frame Backpacks”)
- Product reviews (With testing the products in real life or based only on Amazon reviews.)
What’s So Special About My Content?
To rank in Google, your content needs to be the best one out there. Period.
It may sound simple, but it really isn’t. There are a lot of factors that come into play, and I try to tackle all of them so that my content is worthy enough to land in the first position.
- Skimmable and easy to read. Skimmable content converts better and increases the time spent on the page. That’s why I write in short sentences, use various types of styling elements, use lists and tables, write in simple language, e.t.c.
- Engaging. Nobody wants to read an essay in their free time, which is why I make my content fun to read.
- Always written with a specific goal in mind. Whether that’s to buy something, click on your link, or capture a number or an e-mail address, my copy is designed to gracefully lead the reader towards the goal (but not too aggressive.)
- SEO optimized. Long have gone the days of keyword stuffing. I use the main keyword only a few times and instead try to write in natural language and cover the topic as in-depth as I can. That way all the related keywords appear naturally, from research. That, and all the other correct SEO optimizations: proper titles, meta descriptions, H1’s, H2’s, and H3’s, answering the query above the fold, optimizing for snippets, e.t.c.
- Long-form. I’ll stay within your preferred word count, however, I’ve seen that longer content generally ranks better in Google. For instance, if I’m targeting a keyword with a monthly search volume of 1000-5000, the content usually needs to be 3000-7000 words long (without fluff, just a better-researched article.)
- Well-researched. I’ll do my own research for the article. Generally, I spend 50% of my time writing and 50% researching. It’s fine if you just give me the title or the main keyword, and I’ll get to work. If you prefer, you don’t even need to write the outline – I’ll do it myself.
